Welcoming customers into the store, shop floor work, duties include serving customers face to face and over phone. Working as a team to maintain a high

standard keeping the shop looking its best. Restocking and general cleaning with attention to detail.

Yard Sales Assistant

An exciting opportunity for someone to join our customer sales team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work within our busy trade counter/yard sales

department, serving trade and retail customers in a polite and professional manner.

 

You will be expected to assist with replenishing stock and maintain the department to a high standard.

What we expect from you:

  • To be self-motivated.
  • To demonstrate an interest and passion for learning products/product knowledge.
  • Flexibility and commitment – you will be expected to work, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Good understanding of IT, Maths and English.

A forklift licence and previous experience is advantageous to the role but not essential.

The successful applicant will receive induction training including manual handling and banksman support,

company procedures and policies. You will be provided with our company uniform footwear and safety equipment.

 

This is a full-time position with 40 hours basic per week Monday to Saturday inclusive.

You must be able to work overtime when required. In return we will offer a competitive salary, pension scheme and training.

Production Supervisor for Joinery Workshop and Sawmill


Clarkes of Walsham Ltd – Walsham-le-Willows, Bury St Edmunds

40 hours per week between 7:30 am – 5:15 pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for leading and inspiring our Joinery Workshop and Sawmill.
As part of the team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first-class customer service.

You will be based both in the Joinery Workshop and Sawmill leading the team, reviewing processes, increasing sales and generating orders.
Previous experience joinery and management experience is preferred.

 The Role Mission

  • Work with the company managers to formulate policies and procedures to increase sales,

achieve efficiency and cost control.

  • Develop successful joinery and sawmill teams through effective training, coaching and performance management.
  • Committed to continuous education and product knowledge through workshops, conferences & supplier training.
  • Create a “one team” approach through collaboration and motivation between the Carpentry & Sawyers departments.
  • Achieve sales targets and monitor departmental performance.
  • Present sales & growth reports.
  • Identify new and emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Oversee a marketing strategy to keep the department in the forefront of existing and potential customers.
  • Communicate and interact with other departments within the business to determine how sales and profit performance improvements can be made.
  • Manage the stock
  • Committed to delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Maintain and present the department to the highest standards as expected by both customers and the company directors.

Garden and Equestrian Store Supervisor – Full Time

40 Hours between Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5pm

Saturday’s and Occasional Sunday/Bank Holidays 7:30 to 4:00pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full time Supervisor to join our team in Walsham-le-Willows within the Garden,Home and Equestrian store.

Job Description

As supervisor you will be required to put forward and implement ideas for growth of the store. You will be responsible for organising the shop floor/displays and
maintaining the department at the highest level. You will be required to manage a small team and be the contact for sales reps and key customer groups.
Welcoming customers into the store and shop floor work duties.

Essentials:-

  • A passion for innovation and enthusiastic about the store and products within.
  • High energy personality able to thrive within a high paced environment.
  • Experience within a retail setting, understanding merchandising and maximising sales.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, building strong relationships with a diverse range of customers.
